Sometimes all I need is for me to be in my own corner! I don't know what happens or why, but I loose myself - I get lost in my own world and I have to remind myself to get back in that corner and keep rooting for myself! It's strange why that has to be so hard, for in reality you should be the one you love and cheer for the most!
When I do get lost it takes me a little to find back again, but I still struggle to understand why the off-road has to happen?
So I clearly have a problem! It started back in may, when I suddenly had this obsession with yellow.. That later on turned into an obsession with white once I got to the end of June - and now we are at the end of August, and I can't stop gravitating towards green!
This outfit is 80% thrifted. The jeans are vintage Levi's, the shirt is a 2nd hand, oversize silk shirt, and I adore the color. Shoes are from Zara and unfortunately sold out, but I will try and link some similar ones down below :)
Last weekend I was in the UK where I took part in the celebration of a beautiful couple's wedding day. The ceremony took place in this very old and magnificent church, and later on we continued the night at the Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa. It was a gorgeous day and an amusing night!
Putting together your outfit as a wedding guest is not always easy. I knew it was going to be colder then what I am used to, but I couldn't show up in a sweater and some boots, so when I found this wool coat I knew that would be the perfect combination of comfort and style.
I, obviously, love to dress up, but I find it difficult to justify a huge investment into an outfit I will most likely only wear one time, maybe 2. So I went on the hunt, thinking I could not spend more then max. 100$ for the full outfit. Luckily the summer sale was on!
The dress I found in H&M at 10$, the shoes in Zara at 12$, the coat on Amazon at 39$, and the earrings was a last minute buy the day before the day. In total I spent 67$ on my full outfit which was way less then I had expected, so for one night I felt like a million without spending one.
So even though it is still summer, and it will be for quite a lot longer here in Dallas, I have Autumn Vibes. Maybe it's because I just came back form Europe, where the weather wasn't exactly what you would call summer like, or maybe it is just because I am ready for a seasonal change in my wardrobe. Regardless of that, this is what I am dreaming of prancing about in. Denim on denim, with a little more denim!
My time here in Denmark is coming to an end, and I have had such a great time reconnecting with family and friends. I truly hate goodbyes - I cant stand them - but luckily I can look forward to some exciting time in the UK the coming week - I am thrilled to see my love soon! And with love comes the color red, so here you go! <3
Goodbye... For Now

On Wednesday I am going back to Europe for a couple of weeks, and as always the weather there can be quite questionable, so I am getting all the whites out of my system as much as I can before take-off.
That being said, I am looking forward to revisiting my roots and all that I have dear there :)

July has been a month where basically all my decisions has been based around the color of white. I have found tremendous inspiration in that color - I wonder if is because it is summer :)
Last night - although in America - we celebrated le 14 juillet, or as it was said here, Bastille Day. It's interesting how globalization has made all of us adapt other cultures marked days and traditions. Surely we will reach some common ground one day where the conflicts and fighting wont be necessary.
So in honor of France, of course I had to incorporate red, white and blue into my look :)
La Fête Nationale
On Sunday I went to check out the fashion show of Smith The II - he is a locally based Dallas designer, that I have heard of on many occasions, so when the opportunity presented itself, clearly I had to make an appearance. I went there with Lela, we managed to make it a girls-night/work-night out and it was such a beautiful sunday spent in great company. The venue was set outside the city hall, and the show circulated around the fountain. We came quite early, and sat for a while until the sun started setting - and it was right when golden hour hit that the models appeared out of what seemed like thin air. It was slow-paced but vibrating at the same time.
The night was steaming hot, so I had chosen to layer myself up in white...

This weekend was a special weekend to me. Not only was it my birthday, it was also my man's birthday, AND it was the preview show of my first collaborative collection with the Dallas based brand Ferrah. We showcased our collection with FashionXAustin and it was a great success! We got to network, we got to meet customers, we got to sell and we got to take a look at the awesome city of Austin. The final presentation of the full collection will be showcased with FashionX in Dallas in September, so if you are around that area at that time, please stay tuned for the continuation of _FORYOU. Here are some shots from this weekend.
Dreams are surreal. Dreams can alter reality. In dreams anything is possible... Dreaming happens in the unconscious, and that unconscious comes to live, when you turn the lights out, when you let go and all you do is breathe. The concept of dreaming no one has ever really been able to explain. Why do we dream? What is the functionality of it? Is it a reflection of your reality?
And what happens if you try to combine the two?
What happens is that you make your dreams come true, and this is exactly what my brother and his business partner did. I am extremely proud and inspired! Take a look at their new record label...
One of my favorite things about our holiday was that we got time to just talk together. In a busy everyday life, you forget to prioritize the power of talking and listening to one another. The connection it can create and bond of recognition and appreciation for each other. I felt like i got to rediscover my man, and it went straight into my heart - yet again! Funny enough, on a little island like that, everywhere you look, you see the ocean and that ocean in particular is very very blue <3
The other day we went on a catamaran out to visit a deserted island here in Turks and Caicos. When we got out there, of course we had to shoot some photos, and in our search for a great location, we saw this hammock just hanging under some trees. Walking through sand, stones and bush we finally got into it, and all of a sudden we were ambushed by 10 iguanas coming at us from every corner! I was screaming like a little girl, and they kept coming at us from their hideouts.. Obviously this was their territory, so we thought it better to bow down and leave. We later learned that the name of the island was Iguana Island...
At the moment we are in the Caribbean visiting what seems like paradise on earth. The beaches are silky white and the ocean is a turquoise color that only mother nature can create! The palm trees are waiving in the wind and if you walk straight into the see you will be able to visit the 3rd largest coral reef in the world. I am mesmerized by my surroundings, and these photos do no justice, but they are my poor attempt to share my appreciation with you!
Whats your go-to denim style? I am a true jeans girl! I have been wearing jeans as far back as I can remember, and I think I always will.. They are my go-to's if I am feeling lost in my wardrobe, if I want to feel comfy, if I feel like I need a confidence boost or if I feel like showing of my booty. I think that the right pair of jeans can make your behind gorgeously bootyful! I have learned that for my body type, mid- to high rise with bigger pockets is the way to go.
How to add to your wardrobe without spending a lot of money? The answer lies in a new phenomenon called shared economy. But in fashion, it is actually not that new - we used to call it vintage shopping, as a finer word for 2nd hand. Back when I lived in Barcelona there were so many great shops dedicated to finding hidden treasures from time-pockets. But ever since I moved to Dallas, I haven't seen any shops similar to that. It puzzled me to begin with, but then I realized, that here - we have garage sales or estate sales. A completely new experience to me - but if you are patient and bring your good eye, you will be able to do some amazing vintage discoveries. And since the retail industry is one of the most damaging industries to our environment, it is not only good for your wallet, it is good for our planet as well. I have to call that a double win!
Last night my love and I had a much needed date-night. It's one of those things you forget to do when you have been together for so long, but when you actually do them, you wonder why you don't do it more often. I wore my fluff slippers, and my man laughs at me every time I put them on - obviously they are happy shoes :D
